LEAP explores the unfiltered realities of betting on yourself in the 21st Century.

LEAP is told through the lens of Black British filmmakers, Adessy & Stephanie who took a leap of faith and headed to Los Angeles asking the question "Can one trip change your life?". We follow their adventure alongside the stories of industry trailblazers, Avelino, Joivan Wade, and Hamzaa.

Adesola Akerele

Adessy is a comedy-drama writer and presenter. She’s received script commissions from the BBC and has projects in development with various production companies across London. She is also the creator and co-host of That Would Bang - a film and TV podcast that combines reviews with fan fiction. It’s been featured by Stylist Magazine, INews, Apple Podcasts and many more.

Stephanie Okereafor

Stephanie is a director/writer working across the narrative, documentary and music space. Her last documentary ‘Terms &Conditions: Try & Stop Me’ was commissioned by Youtube Originals and aired on Link Up TV, in the aims to address and challenge the representation of women within the rap scene. Stephanie also works as and Treatment Designer and creative researcher, having worked with various production companies including Academy Films, Mastermind Media, Untold Studios and Bullion Productions.
